Volunteers WSI National Assistant Swimming Teachers Award course
National Assistant Swimming Teachers Award course: 📜 This course ensures you are qualified to assist fully qualified teachers on a professional or voluntary basis. 🙌 You will gain the basic technical and practical knowledge to teach swimming to groups of 6 pupils, alongside an understanding of pool health and safety. 🛟 Rescheduled Course Details: 💻 Zoom Session: Wednesday Nov 18th (1 hour, evening) 📚 Theory & Practical: Saturday Nov 21st (8am – 2pm) ⏱️ Theory & Practical: Saturday Dec 5th (8am – 2pm) 📍 Location: K-Leisure Naas 👧 Practice Teaching: Saturday mornings at our water safety classes (8:30am – 10am) 📝 Note: 8 hours of practical work is also required to be logged. Senior Lifesaving and Water Safety class for Age 13 plus. You must be able to swim 25m unaided. Each class will be 40 minutes. This class teaches Water Safety Awards. Classes will run at KLeisure Naas Pool Class 9.00pm to 9.40 pm Senior Lifesaving and Water Safety class for Age 13 plus 9pm to 9.40pm Thurs 2026 This class is recommended for new beginner , or TYO student or doing a Gaisce Award or if you have completed a previous water safety award at "Safety" level. Restart 14 Jan 2027. Note entries are not open for this event.
