Projected at historic locations adjacent to the monastic site, this fabulous outdoor display highlights the rich physical heritage that is part of the very structure of our streets in a contemporary way.

Kells Colmcille 1500 are delighted to stage the Colmcille Illuminations event once again. Winning the National Heritage Newcomer Award in 2021, the specially commissioned collection narrates the stories and significant times of Colmcille and his followers who came to call Kells home. Projected at historic locations adjacent to the monastic site this fabulous outdoor display highlights the rich physical heritage that is part of the very structure of our streets presenting our heritage in a contemporary way
