This is a booking for the Stable Club session on Friday 25th October. This is an activity based group for 6-12 year olds where children learn about horses, their care and management, and about basic riding skills (walk mostly). We use therapeutic riding exercises and games to promote balance, good posture and confidence on horseback. The focus of the group is on sharing and helping each other and there will be 2-3 children per pony for the session to encourage learning from each other and positive social interaction. The group takes place in any weather. Some sessions will be spend riding less and learning more about horses as well as handling horses safely from the ground. 'My own pony' Camp 30th October 2024 10.30pm-2.30pm
This camp is for horse loving children aged 8-12 years. It run as a small supportive group - maximum 4 children. Every child will have their 'own' pony to look after and ride for the duration of the camp. The camp will offer the unique experience of what it is like to own a pony: the day will start with meeting and getting to know the pony. There will be pony care, riding, pony games, and learning how to handle the pony safely. This camp is for children who love animals and the outdoors and want to do something special for Halloween. The camp will be spent with our farm animals and horses. We will meet all the farm animals and care for them, and we will also care for our horses and get to ride them. One child per entry. Must be accompanied by an adult. We make all efforts to make this event as accessible to children with additional needs, please let us know beforehand if you have any special requirements. Explore our farm at Halloween! The tour starts at your allocated time with a ride on one of our ponies - Henry the horrid, Winnie the witch, Flora the frightful or Daisy the demon! Meanwhile, there will be compllimentary coffee/tea for the parent/s. After the pony ride, you can spend as long on the farm as you would like. There will be facepainting, arts and crafts and other activities to do, and then there is a Halloween trail around our fields which will lead to the Witch of the woods and her cauldron. She might be in a good mood and fish out a treat for you, too! This event will take place in all weathers - if too rainy, all activities will be based inside the barn.
