The sheep classes in Dungarvan are always well supported. We are very excited to announce that the Irish Texel Sheep Breeders are their National Championships in Dungarvan the year.
Cattle
There are a huge array of classes for all breeds of cattle. Tirlan continues to sponsor the coveted super cow class. Pat Denn Agri continues to sponsor the Pat Denn Munster Junior Beef Championship. We are very grateful to all our sponsors in the Cattle Section.
Dungarvan Show 12 July 2026 - Bigger and Better
This year the Show takes place on Sunday 12th July in Ballygagin, Dungarvan, Co Waterford. Increased Sponsorship, Increased Classes and Qualifiers all contribute to make Dungarvan an interesting and exciting place to be. We are indebted to our landowners. Dungarvan is delighted to host the Finals of the Irish Texel Sheep Breeders Championships. This should attract visitors from throughout Ireland.
Exciting News for Horse Exhibitors
Liberty Blue Estate Agents & Auctioneers have once again generously contributed €1,000 towards the Champion and Reserve Ridden Hunter of the Show. The Overall Champion Hunter of the Show will receive 750.00 while the Reserve will receive 250.00. The Cob Class has a prize fund of 500.00 Euro. Kindly sponsored by a friend of the late Stephanie Hennessy. The winning rider will receive the Stephanie Hennessy Perpetual Memorial Cup, kindly presented by her Showing Friends. Dungarvan is hosting 3 Working Hunter Classes this year, 80 cms for Amateurs, 90 cms for Novice Horses and 1m for the Open Class. Tattersalls Ireland Treo Eile Showing Pathway Series Qualifiers will be held for Novice and Open Racehorses. The Beeches Stud sponsors a nomination to In Swoon for the winner of the Thoroughbred Broodmare Class.
